Executive director, resources
Justin joined the RCP in November 2014. As executive director, resources he is responsible for finance, IT, facilities and events marketing, procurement and business development.
Previously he was interim CFO at Save the Children (UK), and he is a CIMA accountant and MBA with 22 years of broad experience in the pharmaceuticals, publishing, logistics and back office outsourcing, consumer goods and not-for-profit sectors.
Justin originally trained in the 80s as a geologist – with an MA from St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and an MSc from University of Toronto, Canada – and worked briefly in the Canadian gold-mining industry. In 1990 he returned to the UK and did a 2-year international MBA at Manchester Business School, from where he was recruited by Procter & Gamble Health & Beauty Care as a financial analyst. P&G then sponsored his training to become a full CIMA accountant.
Since then he has worked for United Business Media, Sanofi Aventis, Dairy Crest, Exel/DHL Healthcare (Europe), Random House and Save the Children (UK), in progressively more senior FD/CFO roles.
