Associate international director for the Americas
Professor Martin is a cardiac electrophysiologist in Boston, Massachusetts and is both chair of medicine and chief academic officer at Lahey Hospital and Medical Centre. He is also professor of medicine at Tufts University.
Over 20 years David has gained extensive experience in the provision of cardiac services in South America, India and Kenya. Prior to his appointment as associate director for Americas, he was international advisor to the RCP and worked closely with our education director to launch medical education initiatives in the United States. David is also president of a Boston-based charity that specialises in providing cardiac services to patients in South America and East Africa.
