Update in medicine - North Wales

Following the success of the RCP spring meeting in north Wales in 2018 we are pleased to confirm that an Update in medicine - North Wales has become part of the RCP annual calendar of events.

This event will deliver invaluable updates on relevant topics, enabling you to enhance your clinical knowledge and gain 6 CPD credits. It also provides an opportunity for valuable networking and includes an open forum with the RCP president, Professor Andrew Goddard and RCP college officers.

The programme will include the following topics:

  • recognising vasculitis on acute takes
  • tuberculosis - emerging challenges in management
  • medical uses of PET
  • Parkinson's and related movement disorders - lessons learned and acute management
  • delirium
  • capacity issues
  • biochemical diagnostics for rapid patient turn around
  • the role of cardiac imaging and acute admissions

Consultant physicians, trainee doctors, SAS doctors, physician associates and ACPs.

Regional lecture

We are pleased to confirm that our Regional Lecture will be presented by Dr Janice Harper, consultant in renal medicine and vaculitis at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals

All delegates are welcome to attend the conference dinner which will be held at the Village Hotel on Thursday 9 May.  The cost is £30 per person and advance booking is essential.
