Funded places now available on RCP programme Medical Needs of Adults with a Learning Disability
Our new programme addresses the inequalities in health experienced by people with a learning disability by training physicians and others to act as champions for these patients and their families.
The Royal College of Physicians has published an update on its progress implementing recommendations from Ben Summerskill’s 2020 report into diversity and inclusion at the RCP.
Dr Olwen Williams, RCP vice president for Wales, reflects on a difficult few months for the NHS and looks ahead to sunnier times in 2023. She flags our latest report which calls for investment in urgent cancer care and welcomes new committee members to the RCP Cymru Wales team.
The RCP is working with local communities in our two main locations – Liverpool and London – on exciting secondary school pilot programmes. These initiatives are designed to educate, encourage and inspire secondary school pupils to consider a career in healthcare.
