The RCP offers a number of benefits exclusive to retired members.
The RCP’s Retired Fellows and Members Association has combined with the Widows and Widowers and is now called the Senior Physicians Society. This organisation provides its members with an opportunity to contribute to the activities of the RCP, and the opportunity to enjoy scientific, cultural and educational meetings at the RCP.
All retired fellows and members are automatically enrolled into the Senior Physicians Society as part of their retirement benefits. Widows and widowers of fellows and members can also join the SPS free of charge by emailing sps@rcp.ac.uk.
Meetings are held at the RCP three times a year usually February, May and October.
At these events, we invite enthusiastic and dedicated speakers in fields surrounding the meetings’ theme. There is also time for questions and answers at the end. There is a charge of £48 per head which includes an informal lunch (members are welcome to bring guests).
