RCP member survey on physician associates now live

RCP members have today been emailed a survey asking for their views about the physician associate (PA) profession.

The survey results will be shared at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of fellows on 13 March where five motions will be debated around themes such as PA scope of practice, accountability and expansion.

RCP bye laws mean that only fellows can attend, actively participate and vote at an EGM. The survey, for all RCP UK subscribing doctor members, means that this wider group will have a voice too. Council has agreed on this occasion that these members will also have access to view the EGM live online.

The survey is being managed by Civica Election Service (CES), which will also be coordinating the EGM event and ballot. The ballot for fellows will open on the evening of the EGM and close on 20 March. Results will be announced on 25 March.

UK subscribing doctor members will receive an email from CES with a security code and link to the survey. They have until 5pm on 28 February to respond.

For more information about the EGM, including for fellows how to book to attend in-person and when to expect voting papers, please see the EGM FAQs.
