NICE guidelines developed at NGC

The National Guideline Centre (NGC) is commissioned by NICE to develop guidelines for the care of individuals with specific clinical conditions or circumstances.

What we are doing

The guidelines cover a wide range of topics including clinical and social care topics and delivery of services. Recommendations cover prevention and self-care, primary and secondary care treatments and interventions, specialised services, social care and organisation of the services. We base our guidelines on the best available research evidence, with the aim of improving the quality of healthcare.
