The RCP’s Future Healthcare Journal is a triannual publication that builds on the work of the Future Hospital Commission by providing a forum for debate around the delivery of healthcare.
With a focus on improving patient care and management through process and system change, the journal engages issues from workforce planning to quality regulation to infrastructure, and is an informative read for everyone with an interest in healthcare systems and management.
We are seeking a deputy editor for the Future Healthcare Journal at an exciting time in its development as it consolidates and expands its reach and influence across the health sector.
The new deputy editor will help the editor-in-chief to shape the journal’s future editorial strategy, commission and review articles, and advise on the development of the journal.
The current editor-in-chief will demit in early 2019 and we would expect that the deputy editor will apply for this role; they should therefore have a personal profile commensurate with this level of post (consultant level in the NHS, or equivalent for other healthcare professions, with strong leadership abilities).
To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter to FHJ@rcplondon.ac.uk by 3 April 2018.
The journal openly invites submissions for consideration and peer review. All articles, including commissioned articles, are subject to rigorous external review to ensure that those accepted are of the highest possible standard.
Please refer to the 'Instructions for authors' document for examples of the type of material we publish before you submit work. If you have any queries please email the editorial office: FHJ@rcplondon.ac.uk.
All UK-based RCP fellows and members receive a free print and online subscription of the Future Healthcare Journal. For all other subscription categories and questions please contact sales administrator Julie Dalton: email@example.com.
