The RCP is an independent publisher of two high-quality peer-reviewed clinical journals, Clinical Medicine and Future Healthcare Journal. We also publish a bimonthly magazine, Commentary, for RCP members.
Clinical Medicine (ClinMed)
Clinical Medicine is a resource for physicians seeking high-quality, topical updates and authoritative reviews in general medicine and across the specialties.
The journal aims to directly improve readers’ clinical practice by providing evidence-supported, thought-provoking and relevant learning; this is achieved by publishing original research, guideline summaries and clinically focused reviews.
As specialists we are expert in discrete areas whilst continuing to see increasingly complex patients with multiple health conditions — ClinMed has a key role in helping to maintain one’s general medical knowledge, while presenting service information to help learn from specialist colleagues in different disciplines. Case histories are presented with an emphasis on providing stimulation to optimise clinical method in terms of assessment and care.
The dedicated CME section focuses on the latest developments in a specialty, with self-assessment questions for readers to attain CPD accreditation.
Future Healthcare Journal (FHJ)
Future Healthcare Journal is the forum for authoritative, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary debate regarding the future delivery of healthcare.
This unique, influential and challenging journal publishes evidence-based papers on a broad range of themes, from workforce planning and healthcare leadership to systems engineering and digital health.
FHJ brings together international healthcare commentators from a variety of disciplines to provide readers with the information and knowledge to deliver transformational, sustainable system change. In an increasingly complicated health workplace, the importance of having an eye on what is on the horizon of both technology and service provision is key, and FHJ is in a unique position to reflect that.
Commentary (membership magazine of the RCP)
Commentary delivers topical insight and opinion across a diverse range of subjects to inform, inspire and entertain our members and fellows.
The stimulating visuals of the magazine are a key feature to display topical content in an engaging and readable way. Commentary carries RCP news, thought-provoking features of interest to clinicians, and updates on the engagement of the RCP with the wider community.
